The Addams Family Now On Sale!

The Addams Family - Now on Sale!

Tickets now available for our 2024 Musical – The Addams Family!

Hundreds of years ago, the Addams family ancestors came from the old country and settled on a plot of land in what is now New York’s Central Park. This was, of course, long before it was a park, when it was still wilderness. The family flourished for many generations, and eventually, a huge house was built where a great Spanish oak, the Addams Family Tree, had been planted to protect the ancestral graves from such annoyances as sunlight and tourists.

THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family– a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before– keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

Playhouse Auditorium Refurbishment Fundraiser

The Playhouse Needs Our Help

Preston Playhouse Theatre Auditorium Refurbishment Fundraiser

The Preston Playhouse Theatre are currently fundraising for this year’s summer works major project – the redecoration of the Auditorium.
The Playhouse has been our Pantomime home for many years, as well as for some musicals, revues, concerts, and more! Without it, we wouldn’t be able to entertain Preston as we have been since 1954.
As the Theatre enters it’s 75th Anniversary, the Board of Trustees have decided to opt for the full redecoration of the auditorium with repairs as necessary with the objective of enhancing Preston Playhouse as a vibrant artistic space
To donate, and for more information, you can visit the Fundraising page hosted on Spacehive

Coming to Preston in 2023...

Get ready for our 2023 production as something slightly fuzzy hits the stage of Preston Playhouse in July. Avenue Q features the naughtiest puppets in town, brought hilariously to life by an ensemble cast of performers. The show is a Tony Award-winning musical about growing up, dreaming big, and finding your purpose in life. “It’s not all preachy, but it’s perceptive as hell.”
The zany, unconventional, laugh-out-loud musical has been a hit around the world and now you get the chance to be part of the phenomenon. We will be casting the show at the beginning of 2023 and all parts are up for grabs. Rehearsals take place on Mondays and Thursdays and some Sundays and the show dates are 11th-15th July.
Meet Princeton, a bright-eyed graduate who comes to New York City with big dreams and a tiny bank account. Soon discovering that the only neighbourhood in his price range is Avenue Q, he finds himself moving in with some truly quirky characters. There’s Brian the out-of-work comedian and his therapist fiancée Christmas Eve; Nicky the good-hearted slacker and his closet gay Republican roommate Rod, an Internet ‘sexpert’ called Trekkie Monster and a very cute kindergarten teacher named Kate Monster. And would you believe the building’s superintendent is Gary Coleman?! Featuring hysterically funny songs including The Internet is for Porn and Everyone’s A Little Bit Racist, Avenue Q is a hilarious musical with a warm (and very fuzzy) heart.
Full details will be available at the welcome event on Monday 16th January 2023, 7:30pm at our HQ in Fulwood – where we will share more details of the show and the auditions. Mark the date in your diary, come on down and join us on Avenue Q!
